I had a situation very similar to the one below. This office will do anything for you to get your business. After that, they treat their customers like dirt. One person in particular...Phil...is quite possibly the ruddest person I have ever met. He treated my wife with such disrespect, we immediatly cancelled our insurance with allstate and went with Erie. They dug their own grave as my parents, in-laws, and two sets of friends all left allstate after this. do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.
In the beginning, my family had great service. After being a customer for about 10 years, we inquired about being able to lower our premiums. We were told that they needed 48 hours to give us a quote. However, other insurance companies were able to quote us the same day. I did not understand why my current carrier could not do that, but I waited the 48 hours. After 2 days passed, our Allstate office did not call us with a new quote. My husband telephoned them and was told we would have an answer that day. It is 13 months later and no one has returned our call.
At this writing, my family has been using Erie insurance for 12 months. They return our calls and beat our Allstate premium. They also let us list our pleasure vehicle as limited use. Allstate always told us that they could not do this.
After 12 months with Erie, I received a cancellation notice from Allstate. When I called and talked to Phil (Jody's husband) he was extremely rude to me. I was trying to explain the events all the way back to last year and why we switched. He told me that he did not care, Jody would not call me back and then hung up on me. This man was a business major and Jody's website makes it a point to say that it's a family business. Too bad that common courtesy and people skills are not a part of the business.
I strongly advise consumers against using this agency. They did not try to keep a happy customer when they had the chance. And Phil's rudeness is simply unprofessional.
